Knowing the compatibility of AIESECs and Teach For Austria values, he brought several former AIESECers to his team in the past years.

Contributions to AIESEC’s Vision of Peace and Fulfillment of Humankinds Potential:

As stated in the latest Education and Training Monitor published by the European Commission, Austria is still a country in which the socio-economic background of the parents determine a child’s opportunities much more than their actual potentials. Challenging the status quo, enabling educational equity and giving the same opportunities to ALL – not only the privileged but also the disadvantaged, most vulnerable – children is crucial to a just, fair and thus peaceful future. Teach For Austria works towards this vision by helping children from the poorest backgrounds to achieve their ambitions. Since the foundation of Teach For Austria in 2012 Gebhard Ottacher has worked actively to succeed in this mission by bringing innovation to the Austrian education system.
